Job Summary:
- The Factory Manager in a Waste for Cash cooperative society is responsible for overseeing the collection, processing, and recycling of waste materials into profitable products. This role requires managing factory operations, optimizing production efficiency, ensuring environmental compliance, and leading a team to support the cooperative’s sustainability and revenue goals. The ideal candidate should have expertise in waste management, recycling processes, and production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Factory Operations & Production Management:
• Oversee the daily operations of the waste processing and recycling plant.
• Ensure a black soldier colony is maintained
• Ensure efficient sorting, processing, and conversion of waste into marketable products.
• Develop and implement production schedules to meet cooperative revenue targets.
• Monitor factory performance and optimize processes to increase productivity.
- Waste Collection & Recycling Process:
• Coordinate the sourcing and collection of recyclable waste materials from cooperative members and communities.
• Implement best practices in waste sorting, treatment, and repurposing to maximize value.
• Ensure minimal waste disposal and promote a circular economy approach.
- Quality Control & Compliance:
• Maintain high-quality standards for recycled products to meet market and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections and quality checks on processed materials.
• Ensure compliance with environmental laws and waste management regulations.
• Implement sustainable and eco-friendly practices in factory operations.
- Health, Safety & Environmental Management:
• Develop and enforce workplace safety policies to prevent accidents.
• Conduct safety training for factory staff and ensure proper use of protective equipment.
• Maintain a clean and hazard-free working environment.
• Ensure waste handling and disposal align with environmental sustainability goals.
- Staff Supervision & Training:
• Lead and manage a team of factory workers, supervisors, and technicians.
• Provide training on waste management, recycling processes, and factory safety protocols.

- Budget & Cost Control:

• Work with suppliers to ensure the steady supply of recyclable waste materials.

Key Requirements:
Education & Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Waste Management, Industrial Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Certifications in Recycling Management, Waste Processing, or Health & Safety are an advantage.

Job Summary:
- The Waste Collector in a Waste for Cash cooperative society is responsible for collecting, sorting, and transporting recyclable waste materials from markets, communities, businesses, and households to the processing facility. This role requires physical endurance, attention to safety, and knowledge of waste segregation and recycling practices. The ideal candidate should be hardworking, responsible, and committed to environmental sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Waste Collection & Transportation:
• Collect recyclable waste materials (plastic, paper, metal, glass, etc.) from designated collection points.
• Ensure proper handling and sorting of waste at collection sites.
• Load and transport collected waste to the processing facility using cooperative vehicles or other means.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules for waste collection.
